I had no PS3 to play the games myself, so i had to watch LPs to learn about the story. I kept watching my husband play, slowly getting more and more into the game, and when my visit was over, i looked into the first game, and fell in love with Darksiders even more. I was pretty much observing silently, until i noticed that Death kept summoning another pair of arms to open stuff for him, and finally i was so intrigued and annoyed, that i asked “ok who is this lazy fuck and why doesn’t he just use his own damn hands to open shit?!” And then my fate was sealed XD I discovered Darksiders back in 2013 when i was visiting my husband (just my bf at the time) in Canada for a couple weeks, and i watched him play the second game. I know this post is kinda old, but hope you don’t mind me sharing! Do any of you have any funny/cool/heartwarming Darksiders stories? ^~^ Anyways, that’s the end of my little story sorry for rambling too long. I also remember laughing until my stomach hurt because we joked and talked shit about Azrael constantly going “redirect the beams.” I think that’s another reason I love Darksiders it brought me great memories with my mom and I can’t wait to see what memories and jokes we’ll make when Darksiders 3 comes out. I remember riding through the Ashlands the first time and my mom and I freaking out over the “giant sand worms” and her whispering “gogogo!” When you have to run to the different platforms. She helped me when I got stuck and we bonded a lot more. My mom likes watching me play video games but she wasn’t really interested in Darksiders until then. My mom looked up a walkthrough for me on her phone and helped me out on where to go. I was literally ready to give up the game. I played it again finally and ended up getting stuck at one point with no clue where to go. I quit that one soon because my Xbox crapped out after all the progress I made and when I got a new one it took a while before I picked it back up again (like almost a year I think, I really wasn’t motivated to play the games at first lol). I put it away for like an entire year before I bought the first game and gave it a shot. I bought the game and never made it past the Forge Lands. I was at GameStop to get another replacement disc for one of my fave video games (I’ve had to replace that game over 10 times, that’s hope much I’ve played it) and I remember just looking the case over and being intrigued because, hello, it’s DEATH, and at that time I was writing a story about angels so the Four Horsemen really interested me. When I played Darksiders for the first time I actually started with Darksiders 2 bc y'know that makes sense lol. ![]() I don’t like going against my moral compass even if it’s just a game lol, I’m a nerd. Personally, if I really wanna know how something is different, I usually just look it up on YouTube. Now, I missed the entire Abraxis/Lord of Hollows side mission entirely in my first playthrough (and I’m still salty that there’s not more indication of where it is and how to find it in time), so I’m gonna make sure that I find Abraxis on my second time around and I’m gonna kill the Lord of Hollows so I never have to do it againĮh, fair enough. Originally posted by be-your-own-hero *me on my way to murder your grandpa* *Me preparing to defend my grandpa*īut the game only gives extra content for killing the Lord of HollowsĪnd I’m not one to willingly never experience extra content, even just a slightly altered cutscene ![]() I can’t allow anyone to hurt my precious tired old man You can get da thing without murdering grumpy grandpa Memesiders: I don’t trust anyone who chooses to kill the Lord of Hollows
